Yesterday we took a day trip to the zoo, it is about an hour from here. It was our last attempt to grasp summer, since it ends with school beginning on Monday. I won't bore you with explaining most of the pics. The only one I will explain is the second picture in the last row. Jeff went behind the "Animal Education Hut" (had to break through a latched door!) and tried to get all of us to stand around him so he could talk to us about his "vast array of knowledge of the animals. " His hope was that other zoo goers would join us and he could then "teach" others about animals. He felt like he was qualifiebecause he had his Yellowstone t-shirt on it and it had pictures of buffalo, lions, bears, elk etc. That made him an expert in all things animal. Mikayla is th only one that would go up to him, Jenna and I walked away in embarrassment. Also- at all the animal cages he would walk up to it and say..." I recognize that as a camelius dromendary- you would know that as a simple camel." (Of course he was reading it right off the sign and then walk over a little bit away from the sign and say that.) Once again- the girls were so embarrassed. It was a great day and on the way home we stopped at our favorite restaurant "Cracker Barrel". I think that is the only restaurant where all girls eat every single morsel on their plates and then want more. We them came home and attempted to work outside a little but gave that up because the sun was still hot and it was humid. We went inside and watched the Olympics instead.
