Sunday School

Mikayla has decided that she will be a Sunday School teacher when she grows up. She has been practicing on me. Here she gives me a lesson. She read a story called, "I learned to obey God." It was about Jonah. It was soooo funny. When she read the title outloud, "I learned to obey God," she said, "Great, lets give 'snaps' to him!" (I guess thats the new thing, giving 'snaps' for doing something good)
We read that story and discussed it, then we read a "What would you do" scenario...she read me a "sticky situation" that a child might get in and I had to choose the correct way to handle myself according to what God would want from me. We then made a list of God's Creation and then we had a talk about how "superstars" are not always the best role models. It was a very good lesson and I feel like I learned so much from my teacher. Although the topics were a little "all over the map" I feel well equipped to be a better Christian after my day in Sunday School! :)
