Memorial Day in Indiana

We had a very memorable Memorial Day, but Jeff had to stay home, there is no rest for him. He had to preach on Sunday, and plus we had 2 deaths this past week. 2 fathers of church members both passed away after battles with cancer. I believe they passed away within hours of each other. Therefore he was very busy counseling and praying with these people.

The 3 girls and I were able to spend a fun filled weekend with my sister and her family in Goshen, Indiana. We left Friday night around 5:30 and made good time. The trip normally takes 6 hours but we made it in a little over 5 hrs. and 15 mins. I think the reason is because we were not held up in Chicago on the way. At one point, for about 10 mins. we were stuck in very slow moving traffic and Haley wanted to know if we were sitting at a stop light. I tried to explain to her that there was just a really long line of cars and she kept asking me, "So why doesn't that first car just GO?!?!" I told her that was a very good question!

On Saturday we were able to attend my nephew Quinn's 8th birthday party at the park. The theme was new for our girls, FOOTBALL, complete with football "drills" and then a game. They even had black paint painted under their eyes like real football players.

Sunday we went to church and then came home for grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and awesome corn on the cob! That afternoon the kids played while the adults rested. When I got up I found Haley in Quinn's bed, she actually put herself down for a nap! That is how tired she was after a full day yesterday at the park.

I believe after awhile we are going to go to Cold Stone Creamery! YUM! We will leave tomorrow for Iowa, we will leave fairly early, sometime before lunch, I have a lot to do to get myself ready for my last week of school! We are done with school on Friday.

We have a very busy week coming up! Mikayla graduates from Kindergarten on Tuesday night! I can hardly believe it! The saying is soooo true, "the days go so slow, but the years go so fast!"

I will include pictures of this weekend as soon as I figure out how to do that. :) And also pics of Mikayla's graduation. I am sure I will cry.
