Yesterday the Tackaberry family was able to participate in a dream. Our dream of actually having an "official" church. We've always had a church, no matter how small, since we came to Iowa. But we were able to break ground on our own church building. It was a long time coming and we can't believe it actually took place yesterday. We had over 140 people in attendance, and still there were many not able to be there. If everyone could be there our congregation would be 175 or so. That is a far cry from 4 members, (our family), about 8 years ago! We are so proud of our church. And feel that all the hard work and tears have been worth it. I think I would do it again....I can't really say yet. The bad memories are too raw, and the good memories are easily replaced by the bad at this time. But all in all....the Lord has Blessed us with a wonderful calling, and a wonderful church to be a part of.We each had a part in the ceremony. Mikayla and Haley had memorized a Bible Verse, Jenna and I sang a duet. (A song from the Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack, that we rewrote a lot of the words too to fit our purposes) and Jeff, of course, gave some thoughts and had a prayer of dedication.
