A night of Greek Mythology

Our house looks tons different now, the garage is on, which changes the looks a lot. The windows will go in this week probably. I trudged out in the snow to get a good picture last night and lo and behold my camera battery was dead!!! Sigh! You are probably getting bored with no pictures. Hopefully Jeff will take some today! (Jeff, if you're reading this, that was a hint!! ;) )

Last night we watched American Idol, the whole family is excited its back on. Although I must admit I like the auditions better than the actual competition. I made spaghetti for supper and while Jeff cleaned up the kitchen, Mikayla, Haley and I played Conga (a Cranium game.) Jenna did homework. The younger 2 went to bed and then I sat down with Jenna and read to her a chapter in Tanglewood Tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne, a book on Greek Mythology. She was having a hard time understanding what was going on so I read it out loud to her. I asked her comprehension questions every once in awhile (yes, I'm a teacher at home too!) and for the most part she understood it. It isn't easy to understand, but she did well.

Well, that's all for now.
